Your piece's journey

Every piece travels the same way, whether it was made in the self-service studio or in a workshop.

Step by step

  1. Finished piece: sign it with your customer number (you will find it in your profile) and leave it to dry on the designated shelf, unwrapped. An unwrapped signed piece counts as finished and goes into the kiln once it is dry.
  2. First firing: we take care of it. You then receive the email JDEŠ GLAZOVAT (time to glaze) with the deadline for glazing.
  3. Glazing: book it only after this email. The pieces will not be on the shelf before then. Find them under your number, glaze them and place them in the spot for firing.
  4. Second firing: we take care of it. You then receive the email MÁŠ HOTOVO (your pieces are ready) with pickup instructions and deadline.

How many visits

At least two: one to create, one to glaze. On the wheel three, because trimming comes between throwing and glazing. You book each visit separately.

If you miss the glazing deadline

We send a reminder. If you do not glaze your pieces even then and do not pick them up without letting us know, they are recycled, dismantled or offered for charity sale. Can't make it for a serious reason? Write to us and we will work something out.

How long it takes

We fire when the kiln is full, and pieces must be dry before firing. The time between steps therefore varies. Indicative times are listed under self-service activities, exact ones in the emails.
