How the studio works
KERA is a ceramics studio where you create in three ways: self-service, in a workshop or course with an instructor, and as a group at an event tailored to you. Whichever you choose, you use the same account, the same reservation system, and your pieces travel the same way through the kiln.
Three ways to create
- Self-service. You book an hour, let yourself in with your own code and work at your own pace. No instructor is present, everything you need (tools, materials, guides) is on site. For those who have the basics and want to create independently.
- In a workshop or course. A fixed date, a small group and an instructor who guides you through the whole process. The best start for beginners and the way to new techniques.
- As a group. An event for companies, teams and celebrations that we prepare to your brief. The studio is yours alone and an instructor guides you.

What all formats share
- Account and customer number. Every visitor has their own account and signs their pieces with their number. Without it we cannot tell whose a piece is.
- Booking. Self-service activities, workshops and courses are booked in the calendar. Group events and private lessons are arranged through an inquiry form. Confirmation and access code arrive by email.
- Firing. Only staff operate the kiln. Every piece goes through two firings with glazing in between, and we email you about each step.
- Rules. They apply to everyone who enters the studio, whatever the format.
The instructor in the studio
In workshops, courses and group events the instructor is with you the whole time. In self-service the instructor is in the studio only during consultation hours: set times when they help you for free during your reservation with technique, materials or glazing, and show you around if it is your first visit. It is not a workshop, the instructor helps several people at once. Check the studio page for when consultations take place. If you want an instructor just for yourself, arrange a one-to-one practice lesson.
Who the studio is for
- Just starting? Come to a workshop or course. You learn the basics of clay, engobes and glazes, without which it is easy to get lost in the self-service studio.
- Already have some skills? Create self-service, at your own pace and whenever you have time.
- Are you a group? Arrange a tailored event.
- Age limits depend on the activity. Children can only work accompanied by an adult, and everyone needs their own reservation.
- The studio is not meant for production for sale.
